Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dental Assistant role based in Delhi, India. The Dental Assistant will support dentists during clinical procedures by preparing treatment rooms, arranging instruments and materials, and assisting chairside throughout treatments. Daily tasks include welcoming patients, reviewing basic medical and dental histories, helping patients feel comfortable, and providing clear pre- and post-treatment instructions. The role also involves managing sterilization of instruments, maintaining infection control standards, organizing supplies, and ensuring that equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use. Additional responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, updating patient records, handling basic administrative tasks, and coordinating with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Clinical support skills in Dental Assisting, including chairside assistance and patient preparation for procedures.
- Knowledge of Dental Care and Dentistry principles for common treatments, preventive care, and basic clinical procedures.
- Understanding of Oral Care practices, including patient education on hygiene, preventive routines, and aftercare instructions.
- Competence in Sterilization procedures and infection control protocols for instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, or a related dental field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients of diverse backgrounds in a calm, respectful manner.
- Attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately in a busy practice.
- Basic computer literacy for managing appointments, records, and coordination with the front office; prior experience in a dental clinic is an advantage.
